Privacy Policy

Last updated 6 September 2026. This policy covers the Croodit mobile app and https://croodit.com.

The short version

• Croodit cannot read your WhatsApp chats. It opens WhatsApp with a message prepared; you press send.
• We never message your clients on your behalf. Reminders are notifications to you.
• We do not sell your data or your client list, to anyone, ever.

What we collect

• Your account: phone number (verified by SMS code), business name, your name, UPI ID, optional logo, city and GSTIN if you enable GST.
• Your business records: clients you add, services and prices, invoices, payments you record, attendance and expenses.
• Contacts: only if you tap "From contacts". Croodit reads the contact you pick to fill in a name and number. It does not upload your address book.
• Pay-page analytics: when a client opens a pay link we log that it was opened, so your invoice timeline can show it.
• App diagnostics: crash and error reports, so we can fix things.

What we never collect

• Your WhatsApp messages, contacts inside WhatsApp, or read/delivery receipts. No integration exists that would let us.
• Your UPI PIN, bank credentials or card details. Payments happen inside your client's own UPI app.

Why we use it

To run the product you asked for: generate invoices and PDFs, host your pay links, schedule the reminders you switched on, and produce your earnings and GST summaries. We also use aggregate, non-identifying usage counts to decide what to build next.

Who else sees it

Only the service providers Croodit runs on — hosting, database, crash reporting, SMS delivery for your login code and, if you subscribe, the app store handling your payment. They process data on our instructions and nothing more. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.

Where your client's payment goes

Straight to you. A Croodit pay link opens a standard UPI request addressed to your UPI ID. Croodit is not a payment gateway, never holds your money, and takes no cut of it.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is open — invoices are business records you may need years later. Delete your account from Settings and we remove your data within 30 days, except records we must retain by law.

Your choices

You can export everything (Excel, PDF or Tally format) from Settings at any time, edit or delete any client or invoice, revoke contacts and notification permissions in your phone settings, and close your account. To ask what we hold on you, or to have it deleted, write to hello@croodit.com.

Children

Croodit is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
