Croodit vs Riffit
Riffit and Croodit both turn a WhatsApp message into a PDF invoice with a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) pay link. Riffit is built for Indian freelancers billing project work, and runs in any browser. Croodit is built for a repeating class roster — packs, attendance and the same names every month — and is an Android app, with the iPhone version still to come.

Start with where each one runs
Riffit runs in a browser. Croodit runs on an Android phone. Riffit is a web app at app.riffit.in with a WhatsApp front end — you can sign up on any phone or laptop this afternoon. Croodit is live on Google Play for Android; the iPhone app comes later, and until then the only thing an iPhone user can do here is join the waitlist.
If you are on an iPhone and need to invoice someone this week, that is the whole decision and the rest of this page is not for you. Everything below is about which of the two is shaped like your month, for a reader who has time to choose.
What Riffit is
Riffit calls itself "WhatsApp Invoicing for Indian Freelancers" — "the invoicing tool for Indian freelancers. Invoices and quotes from a WhatsApp message, contracts on the dashboard." You describe a job in a sentence, or send a voice note on Pro, and it produces a branded PDF invoice with a UPI payment link. Its own worked example is "Bill Priya 40K for branding", and the buyers it names are designers, illustrators and marketing professionals.
It also does two things Croodit does not do at all: quotations — unlimited on both plans, with online client acceptance — and contracts with OTP-verified e-signatures and an audit-trail certificate. If a signed document is part of how you close work, that is a real gap on Croodit's side and it is not on a roadmap this page can promise you.
What Riffit costs
These were the plans on riffit.in/pricing on 21 October 2026:
| Free — ₹0 forever | Pro — ₹249/month, or ₹199/mo billed yearly (₹2,388/year) |
|---|---|
|
|
Croodit is now cheaper at both cadences. Riffit Pro is ₹249 a month and Croodit Pro is ₹199 a month — a ₹50 difference. Annually, Riffit is ₹2,388 billed yearly against Croodit's ₹1,599, so Croodit is ₹789 less over twelve months. Both start with a 14-day trial and neither asks for a card. The monthly gap is small and the annual gap is not large enough to decide on. Pick on whether you bill projects or a roster; the price follows from that.
Correction, 5 October 2026: On 15 September 2026, Riffit's pricing page said ₹199 a month while its blog said ₹249. This page used the pricing-page figure and flagged the disagreement. As of today riffit.in/pricing says ₹249 a month (or ₹199/mo billed yearly), so the two surfaces now agree, and the monthly price is no longer identical to Croodit's.
Re-checked 21 October 2026: both plans, both prices, the 14-day Pro trial and every free-plan limit were read again from riffit.in and riffit.in/pricing, and none had changed since 5 October 2026. One claim on this page was wrong and is corrected. It said Riffit Pro had "automatic payment triggers". Riffit's pricing page lists automatic payment tracking as planned and "coming soon": your client pays your own UPI ID, Riffit never sees the payment, and you mark the invoice paid yourself when the money lands. The re-read also added a line to each plan above: a reminder you send yourself, once a day per document.
The free plans are shaped differently, and that is the real fork
Riffit's free plan caps invoices: 5 a month, plus 5 active clients. Croodit's caps clients: up to 7 of them, with unlimited invoices to those people.
That difference is the whole buyer distinction in one line. A freelancer who sends four invoices in a good month and none in a bad one fits Riffit's free plan for years. A yoga teacher with 7 regulars on monthly packs sends 7 invoices every single month, forever — she is over Riffit's free line in the first week and under Croodit's free line indefinitely. Neither cap is more generous than the other. They are counting different things because they expect different work.
Above about a dozen clients both are paid products and the free tier stops being part of the argument.
Riffit and Croodit, side by side
| Riffit | Croodit | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it names as its buyer | Indian freelancers — its own examples are designers, illustrators and marketing professionals billing project work. | One person selling their own time on a repeating roster — Zumba and fitness trainers, yoga and dance coaches, tutors, nutritionists, photographers, makeup artists. |
| The invoice it is shaped around | One job, one number. "Bill Priya 40K for branding" — described in a sentence, turned into a PDF with a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) link. | The same twelve to thirty names every month at ₹2,000–₹2,500 each. Packages and rates saved once, then tapped. |
| What it counts between invoices | Quotations and contracts — quote, sign, convert to invoice. | Class packs and attendance. Ten sessions bought, six used, four left, renewal due. |
| Contracts and e-signatures | Yes — OTP-verified e-signatures with an audit-trail certificate. | No. Croodit does not do contracts or e-signatures at all. |
| Reminders to clients | Sent by Riffit. Email on the due date on the free plan; on Pro, a schedule before, on and after the due date, by email and WhatsApp. Both plans also let you send one yourself, once a day per document. | Croodit never messages a client by itself. On day 3, 7 and 10 it notifies you with the reminder already written; you read it, edit it, press send. |
| Where the money lands | Straight to you by UPI. Riffit says it is not a payment gateway, does not hold your money and takes no cut. | Straight into your own UPI ID. Croodit is not a payment gateway, holds nothing and takes no cut. |
| Platform | A web app at app.riffit.in, plus WhatsApp. Working today; no mobile app listed. | An Android app, live on Google Play. iPhone comes later — waitlist only. |
| Free plan | ₹0 forever: 5 invoices a month, 5 active clients, watermarked PDFs. | Free forever for up to 7 clients, with unlimited invoices and unlimited reminders to them. |
| Paid plan | ₹249 a month, or ₹199/mo billed yearly (₹2,388 a year). 14-day Pro trial, no card. | ₹199 a month, or ₹1,599 a year. 14-day free trial, no card. |
Where Riffit is the better choice — honestly
- You are on an iPhone and need to invoice someone this week. Riffit works in any browser; Croodit's iPhone app is not out yet. Nothing else on this page outranks that.
- Every job is a different job. A branding project, a shoot, a campaign — different scope and a different number each time. Describing it in a sentence beats maintaining a package list you never reuse.
- You need quotations or signed contracts. Quote, e-signature, audit trail, convert to invoice. Croodit does none of this.
- You want the chasing to be automatic. Riffit Pro's reminders go out on their own, by email and WhatsApp, before, on and after the due date. Croodit deliberately will not.
- You bill from a laptop. Riffit is a web dashboard. Croodit is a phone app, Android only for now.
Where Croodit fits instead
The buyer this page is written for does not have projects. She has a roster. Three Zumba batches, 24 people, a ₹2,000 monthly pack each. A yoga teacher with ten-class packs at ₹2,500 and one corporate booking that needs GST on it. A tutor with eight students where the parent pays, quarterly, per subject.
For that person the invoice is the easy part. The hard part is remembering that Priya's ten-class pack ran out on the 4th, that Ravi's September fee never arrived, and that the ₹2,500 credit that landed on Tuesday could have been either of them. Then it is writing the message — the one you draft at 11pm to someone you will see at 7am.
Croodit saves your packages and rates once. You pick a client, tap what they bought, and it opens WhatsApp with the message written, the invoice PDF attached and a UPI pay link ready. You press send. It tracks paid, pending and overdue, counts down class packs, and on day 3, 7 and 10 notifies you with the follow-up already drafted. Nothing reaches a client until you send it, and payments go straight to your own UPI ID — Croodit is not a payment gateway, holds nothing and takes no cut.
Who should pick which
If you run classes, batches, packs or retainers and the same names come back every month, Croodit fits because it models sessions against a pack on a repeating roster, which is the thing you actually sell. Riffit would have you re-describe the same ₹2,500 pack eighteen times a month.
If you bill project work — design, film, campaigns, shoots — and every invoice is a different number, take Riffit. Describing the job in a sentence is faster than maintaining packages you will never reuse, and the quotation-to-contract flow is a real advantage Croodit has no version of.
If you are on an iPhone and need it working today, take Riffit. Croodit is Android-only until the iPhone app ships, and "it will be better for you later" is not a reason to stay unpaid now.
If you invoice fewer than about five people a month, you may not need either one. A PDF, a UPI link and a notes app cost nothing — we wrote up the free manual method, step by step. And if the problem is not the invoice but the asking, that has its own page.
If you sell physical goods or need GST filing support, e-way bills or a real ledger, neither of these is your tool. Look at Vyapar — we compared it for trainers and coaches here — or myBillBook or Zoho Invoice.
Still deciding whether a roster is what you actually have? The money looks different by trade — who Croodit is built for has the version for Zumba trainers, yoga teachers, tutors, photographers and nutritionists, each with that profession's real numbers. And how to get paid on time as a trainer, coach or tutor in India covers the questions that come before the software: whether a UPI screenshot counts as proof, whether taking fees on UPI puts you on the GST radar, and whether you need a GST number to send an invoice at all.
Questions people ask before they choose
I'm on an iPhone. Should I wait for Croodit or use Riffit?
Use Riffit if you need to invoice someone this week. Croodit is live on Android through Google Play, but the iPhone app comes later, and Riffit is a web app at riffit.in that works in any phone or laptop browser today. That is the honest state of things on 21 October 2026, and no comparison table changes it. The reason to join the Croodit iPhone waitlist anyway is if what you invoice is a recurring class roster rather than project work — that is the part Riffit is not built around, and it is what the rest of this page is about. On Android, both are open to you now.
I teach 3 Zumba batches and about 24 people pay me monthly. Would Riffit's free plan cover me?
No — you would run out in the first week of the first month. Riffit's free plan is 5 invoices a month and 5 active clients, read from riffit.in/pricing on 21 October 2026. With 24 people paying monthly you need 24 invoices a month, every month, so you would be on Riffit Pro from day one at ₹249 a month (or ₹199/mo billed yearly). Croodit's free tier is shaped the other way round — up to 7 clients with unlimited invoices to them — which covers a small roster forever but does nothing for you at 24 clients either. At your size both of these are paid products, and the honest comparison is ₹2,388 a year against ₹1,599.
Is Croodit cheaper than Riffit?
Yes, at both cadences now. Monthly, Riffit Pro is ₹249 and Croodit Pro is ₹199 — Croodit is ₹50 less. Annually, Riffit is ₹2,388 billed yearly and Croodit is ₹1,599 — Croodit is ₹789 less over twelve months. Both gaps are real but small. Neither is a reason to pick a tool by itself. Pick on whether you bill projects or a roster; the savings follow from that, they shouldn't lead it.
Riffit sends the payment reminder for me. Croodit makes me press send myself. Isn't that worse?
It is slower, and for some people it is genuinely worse — if you are billing a client you have never met for a one-off project, an automatic reminder on the due date is exactly right, and Riffit Pro's schedule (before, on and after the due date, by email and WhatsApp) does that well. Riffit also has a button to send a reminder yourself, so the real difference is the default: Riffit chases unless you stop it, and Croodit sends nothing unless you do. The case for pressing send yourself is about who is on the other end. You see your students on Monday morning. A system-generated reminder to someone who is in your 7am class reads as a collections notice from a stranger. Croodit writes the message and hands it to you so the words are still yours. It is a deliberate constraint, not a missing feature, and if you would rather it were automatic then Riffit is the better fit for you.
I'm a photographer taking an advance and a balance for each shoot. Which one is that?
Closer to Riffit, on the shape of the work — a booking is a project, with a quote, a contract and two payments against one job, and Riffit does quotations and OTP-verified e-signature contracts that Croodit does not do at all. Croodit fits the part of your month that repeats: a retainer, a monthly content client, a recurring session block. If contracts and signatures are central to how you sell, take Riffit. Croodit has no answer there and is not pretending to.
What does Riffit's AI invoicing actually do, and does Croodit have anything like it?
You type a description of the job in a WhatsApp message — Riffit's own example is "Bill Priya 40K for branding" — and it produces a formatted PDF invoice with a UPI payment link. You can also send a voice note for an invoice, up to 10 a day. It is on the Pro plan. Croodit has nothing equivalent and works the opposite way: instead of describing the job in words each time, you save your packages and rates once, then pick a client and tap what they bought. Typing a sentence wins when every job is different. Tapping a saved package wins when the same ₹2,500 monthly pack goes to eighteen people.
Can I use both?
There is no integration between them, so this only makes sense if the two halves of your work are genuinely separate — Riffit for the project work with contracts and quotations, Croodit for the repeating class roster. Two apps for one stream of income is a worse answer than picking one. Neither imports from the other.
