Vyapar alternative for trainers and coaches
Vyapar is GST billing and inventory software for businesses that sell goods. If you teach classes, the part that does not fit is stock — you track class packs and attendance, not quantities. Croodit is the alternative built for that: invoice on WhatsApp, get paid by Unified Payments Interface (UPI), track who still owes you.
Last updated 28 September 2026 · All Vyapar figures below were read from vyaparapp.in and Vyapar's own live plans endpoint on that date
Correction, 28 September 2026: earlier versions of this page said Vyapar's free access was a trial, not a permanent plan. Vyapar's site now says the mobile app is free for life, with the free trial applying to desktop. The page has been changed to match. Every paid price was re-checked the same day and had not changed.
What Vyapar actually is
Vyapar calls itself the "Best GST Billing Software for Small Businesses" and claims 1.5 crore-plus Indian businesses. Its own site lists the industries it serves: retailers, kirana store owners, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers, restaurants and pharmacies. The feature set follows from that — GST-compliant billing, inventory and stock tracking, e-invoices and e-way bills, point-of-sale billing, barcode scanning, accounting reports, and WhatsApp billing with automated payment reminders.
It is a genuinely good product for the business it was built for. The mismatch for a trainer is not quality, it is shape.
What Vyapar costs
Vyapar's own FAQ answers the free question this way: the app "is free to use on mobile lifetime and on system offers a free trial". So the mobile app has a free plan with no end date, which Vyapar describes as "essential billing features at no cost", and the desktop app is a trial. These were the live paid prices on 28 September 2026:
| Plan | List price | Selling price |
|---|---|---|
| Silver, 1 year, Android | ₹1,199 | ₹699 |
| Gold, 1 year, Android | ₹1,399 | ₹799 |
| Silver, 1 year, Desktop | ₹6,399 | ₹3,799 |
| Gold, 1 year, Desktop | ₹7,699 | ₹4,099 |
| Silver, 1 year, Desktop + Mobile | ₹7,499 | ₹4,399 |
| Gold, 1 year, Desktop + Mobile | ₹9,099 | ₹4,799 |
| Silver, 3 years, Android | ₹2,599 | ₹1,499 |
Vyapar discounts heavily and often, so treat these as a snapshot rather than a fixed rate card — check vyaparapp.in before you buy. Croodit Pro is ₹199 a month or ₹1,599 a year, after a 14-day free trial, and free forever for up to 7 clients.
Which means Vyapar costs less than Croodit. Its mobile app has a free plan for life, and its paid Android plans cost ₹699 or ₹799 a year against Croodit Pro's ₹1,599. The 3-year Android Silver plan works out to about ₹500 a year. If price is the only thing deciding this, that is your answer and you should stop reading. The rest of this page is about the cases where it is not.
Vyapar and Croodit, side by side
| Vyapar | Croodit | |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is built for | Retailers, kirana stores, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers, restaurants and pharmacies — businesses that sell goods. | One person selling their own time — Zumba and fitness trainers, yoga and dance coaches, tutors, nutritionists, photographers, makeup artists. |
| What it counts | Items and stock. Quantities in, quantities out, low-stock alerts, barcodes. | Class packs and attendance. Ten sessions bought, six used, four left, renewal due. |
| GST | The centre of the product — GST-compliant billing, e-invoices, e-way bills, GSTR-ready reports. | Optional and off by default. Turn it on and you get GST invoices with monthly CA-ready exports in Excel, PDF and Tally format. |
| Reminders to clients | Automated payment reminders, sent to customers on WhatsApp through the app. Also WhatsApp marketing and promotional messages. | Croodit never messages a client by itself. On day 3, 7 and 10 it notifies you with the reminder already written; you read it, edit it, press send. |
| Where the money lands | Payment tracking against your ledger; collection through the payment options you set up. | Straight into your own UPI ID. Croodit is not a payment gateway, holds nothing and takes no cut. |
| Platform | Android, iOS, Windows and Mac, offline and cloud. | An Android app, live on Google Play. iPhone comes later — waitlist only. |
| Entry price | A free plan for life on mobile with "essential billing features", a free trial on desktop, then paid plans from ₹699 a year on Android. | Free forever for up to 7 clients with unlimited invoices, then ₹199 a month or ₹1,599 a year after a 14-day trial. |
Where Vyapar is the better choice — honestly
- You sell physical things. A supplement counter at your studio, merchandise, equipment. Stock is a real problem and Croodit does not solve it at all.
- You need e-way bills or e-invoicing against the IRP. Croodit does neither.
- You want one system for billing and full accounting. Vyapar is a billing and accounting suite; Croodit is deliberately not one.
- You bill from a desktop, or a staff member bills for you. Vyapar runs on Windows and Mac with multi-device sync. Croodit is a phone app, Android only for now.
- You need it on an iPhone today. Vyapar ships on iOS now. Croodit's iPhone app comes later.
Where Croodit fits instead
The buyer this page is written for gets paid by people, not by payroll, and has the same twelve to thirty names coming back every month. A Zumba trainer with three batches. A yoga teacher selling ten-class packs at ₹2,500. A tutor with eight students on monthly fees. A photographer with an advance and a balance.
For that person the work is not billing. It is remembering that Priya's pack ran out on the 4th, that Ravi's September fee never arrived, and that the ₹2,500 credit on Tuesday could have been either of them. Then it is writing the message — the one you draft at 11pm to someone you will see at 7am.
Croodit saves your packages and rates once. You pick a client, tap what they bought, and it opens WhatsApp with the message written, the invoice PDF attached and a UPI pay link ready. You press send. It then tracks paid, pending and overdue, counts down class packs, and on day 3, 7 and 10 notifies you with the follow-up already drafted. Nothing reaches a client until you send it, and payments go straight to your own UPI ID.
Who should switch, and who shouldn't
If you run classes, batches, packs or retainers and Vyapar feels like it is asking you questions about inventory you do not have, Croodit fits because it models the thing you actually sell — sessions against a pack, on a recurring roster — instead of asking you to call it stock.
If Vyapar is working and your complaint is only the price, stay. Its mobile app has a free plan and its paid Android plans cost less than Croodit Pro, so switching would save you nothing.
If you sell goods, need GST filing support, e-way bills or a real ledger, stay with Vyapar, or look at myBillBook or Zoho Invoice. Croodit is not an accounting suite and will not become one.
If you invoice fewer than about five people a month, you may not need either. A PDF, a UPI link and a notes app cost nothing — we wrote up the free manual method, step by step.
Questions people ask before they switch
I'm a Zumba trainer with about 20 students paying monthly. Is Vyapar overkill for me?
Probably, but not because it is a bad product. Vyapar is built around items and stock — you create products, track quantities, and bill them with GST. A trainer has no stock. What you actually track is who is on a ten-class pack, how many sessions they have left, and who has not paid for September. That model is not what Vyapar's data structure is shaped around, so you end up entering your batches as inventory items and ignoring most of the app.
Is Croodit cheaper than Vyapar?
No, and it would be dishonest to pretend otherwise. Vyapar says its mobile app is free for life, with "essential billing features", and its paid Android plans were ₹699 (Silver) and ₹799 (Gold) a year on 28 September 2026. Croodit Pro is ₹1,599 a year. Croodit is also free forever, but only for up to 7 clients, so a coach with a small roster pays nothing for either. If you have 30 clients and price is the only thing you care about, Vyapar costs less.
Vyapar already sends WhatsApp payment reminders. Why would I want an app that makes me press send myself?
Because of who is on the other end. Vyapar's automated reminders are built for a shop chasing a distributor's outstanding balance, where nobody minds a system message. You see your students on Monday morning. An automated dunning message to someone who is in your 7am class is worse than no message — it reads as a collections notice from a stranger. Croodit writes the reminder and hands it to you so the words are still yours.
Is Vyapar free?
On mobile, yes. Vyapar's own FAQ now says the app "is free to use on mobile lifetime and on system offers a free trial", and its homepage advertises a "Lifetime Free Plan" with "essential billing features at no cost". The desktop app is a free trial. Vyapar does not list on its site which features the free mobile plan leaves out, so check that in the app before you rely on it. Paid Android plans started at ₹699 a year when we checked on 28 September 2026, and desktop plans at ₹3,799. Check vyaparapp.in for today's numbers before you buy; Indian billing software discounts move often.
I need GST invoices and my CA wants proper reports. Can Croodit do that or should I stay with Vyapar?
Croodit does GST invoices — it is optional and off by default, and when you switch it on you get monthly exports your CA can open in Excel, PDF or Tally. What it does not do is e-way bills, e-invoicing against the IRP, stock valuation or a full ledger. If your CA needs those, Vyapar is the right tool and you should stay with it.
Can I run both?
Some people do, and it is a reasonable answer while you decide. Croodit handles the day-to-day — sending the invoice on WhatsApp, seeing who has paid, counting down class packs — and you keep whatever your accountant already has for the year-end filing. Croodit does not import from or sync with Vyapar, so this only makes sense if your volume is low enough that a monthly export is not a chore.
Vyapar is a trademark of its owner and is not affiliated with Croodit. Everything above was taken from Vyapar's public site on 28 September 2026 and may have changed since.
